Our little granddaughter asked her mother why I had one of her socks at my house. Our daughter told her it was probably because she had worn those socks there and left them. For Stella that was enough to know. Oh okay.
Other why’s aren’t so easy are they? We want to know why someone suffers, why events occur and why things have to be the way they are. God doesn’t mind our whys. He just doesn’t want us to live there.
Oh beloved, you’ve got some why’s don’t you? You want to know and you’d like to know now. Waiting for God to answer is hard isn’t it? He may answer you quickly, He may not. And sometimes He never gives an answer. Can you trust Him in spite of it all? Can you trust in the Lord with all your heart and not spend all your time trying to humanly understand everything that happens? He says in His Word if you acknowledge Him in everything, He will direct your path, even while you are wondering why. It’s so important to your life in Christ that you decide now that you don’t have to know everything. But you do have to trust the Lord. Bitterness of life, anger at God and cynical living aren’t for the believer. You need a life of faith now, while you are wondering why. And you will need growing faith as you place the why’s in God’s hands and move on. God wants to teach you things that you need to know. Like coping with life, confidence to move forward and the realization that God is God and we humans are not.
God says if you will give Me your life – even the hard things – I will take your life and make it a miracle of blessings for those who trust in Me. You will be like Mt. Zion – you won’t be shaken when life takes those turns for the worst. You will know God and His Names – Sovereign One, The God Who Sees, The All Sufficient One, Your Shepherd and your King. “Why” will waste all your time and your time is so very precious to the Lord and to you. To live without regrets you will have to place all your trust in the Lord and allow Him to answer some questions and trust Him when He has no answer for you. Overwhelming victory is always yours and you are more than a conqueror no matter what.
God loves you and He’s for you. Trust this truth and cling to the Lord with all your heart. Rise up and praise Him in spite of whatever questions you have. Run to Him and thank Him for life today. Bless the Lord and then live beloved, in the Light of the Strong Tower of His Character always.
Psalm 125:1 Those who trust in the LORD Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe.
2 Samuel 22:2 He said: The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.
Psalm 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and trust in the LORD.
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
