I keep hearing these words every few days. And this morning as I type watching two grandchildren sleeping next to my computer, I hear them again.

Oh beloved. We who belong to Christ need to reconcile our thoughts with Him. Just as these grandchildren are sound asleep stretched out and resting in the night, so too we need to allow ourselves rest.  What has staying up all night rolling all your situation over in your mind over and over ever done for you?  Jesus slept in the boat while the storm rose up.

God wants you to know you can enjoy every new day. Just as my grands will wake up later this morning with the joy of the day on their minds, you can wake up full of hope and joy.  God doesn’t promise every day will be trouble free, but Jesus walked into Jerusalem, knowing His situation, and did not cower in fear or try to hide from life.

God wants you to know its okay to have hardships but don’t let the hardships become your focus. You are facing the enemy with every step you take. But what was Jesus doing when tempted on the mountain. He wasn’t arguing with satan, He just replied with the Word of God. Your best strength in the season you are dealing with is to speak the Word over your life. It’s your life bread!

God has great plans for you in this season. His plans are often more magnificent in the hard times than in the good.  This is your hour to rise up – rise up and pray, rise up and prophesy, rise up and love and rise up and make a stand for your faith, first in your life. Then you will know how to follow Christ when the crowd wants to run off cliffs or fall for the lies of the enemy. You aren’t your own,  you are bought with a price, so that you are able to glorify God every single day.

God loves you and He’s for you.  Run to Him this morning and ask Him about your troubles, trials and hardships. Ask Him for a fresh reality of your position in Christ. He will give it to you. In these last days the revelation of Christ and what He would be doing if He were here on the earth today will give you solid ground to walk on.  Get your mind settled on the Word of God and watch as you become quietly confident to pursue your calling in the Light of Christ’s all sufficient sacrifice for you!

Matthew 4:4  But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'”

John 12:26 If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

Ephesians 6:17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

John 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

Rebekah Beene

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences.
