TAKEOFF,

Helene’s Death Toll Rises,

Hurricane Helene’s confirmed death toll rose to over 223 this week, making it the third-deadliest U.S. storm of the 21st century as rescue crews continue searching for survivors.

Millions remain without power days after the storm ravaged communities from Florida to Virginia. Survivors are also challenged by limited access to clean water, shelter, gasoline, and food.

FEMA arrived in Western North Carolina on Monday after President Biden approved federal aid on Sunday, but by Thursday, some residents reported still not seeing any federal officials. See photos of the devastation here.

Sen. Lindsey Graham criticized federal relief efforts in South Carolina, stating that FEMA has been slow to respond and hasn’t visited some storm-damaged areas.

Trump, Kemp Make Joint Appearance,

Former President Trump and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp made their first public appearance together in years on Friday, touring storm-damaged areas and offering support for Hurricane Helene’s victims.

The two appeared in Evans, Georgia, with Kemp thanking Trump for his second visit to the Peach State following the natural disaster. Kemp said Trump’s arrival was important to Georgia and its recovery.

In return, Trump praised Kemp’s efforts, saying he was doing a “fantastic job” with his storm response.

Vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance has been credited for repairing the rift between Trump and Kemp, who have been at odds over the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Begins,

Balloon Fiesta, the oldest and largest hot air balloon festival held annually in Albuquerque, New Mexico, begins its nine-day run today with balloon launches, drone light shows, skydiving, and chainsaw carving.

Starting in 1972 with 13 balloons, the Balloon Fiesta has expanded into a nine-day event at 365-acre Balloon Fiesta Park, showcasing over 500 balloons and becoming the world’s most photographed and largest annual international event in the U.S.

Spectators can also anticipate around 500 LED equipped drones at this year’s show, matching 2023’s total, illuminating the night sky with various characters, shapes, and messages.

POLITICS,

The U.S. economy added 254,000 jobs in September, surpassing forecasts of 140,000, causing the unemployment rate to fall to 4.1% as the Fed considers another rate cut.

President Biden made his first-ever appearance at a White House press briefing Friday, speaking briefly about the averted port workers strike, new jobs report, and Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

The Supreme Court announced Friday it will decide if Mexico can hold U.S. gunmakers liable for violence caused by Mexican drug cartels, as Mexico seeks billions in damages and new gun control measures.

Twitter and Facebook Marketing

My Name is Russell Sherrard. I am an experienced Social Media Marketer having 9 years of experience in Twitter marketing for multiple clients. The majority of my experience is with Authors and Writers as clients but will work with any legal and legitimate business.

Promote your book/ebook on twitter and anything digital. For example, Christian Apps. I can hear all the naysayers say that twitter is a cesspool and you can’t sell anything on twitter. I have been on twitter since August 2012. I am an author and I can tell you this is false. I have sold many, many books that I can track back to twitter. I have 12 thousand 200+ followers on twitter and it all depends on who you follow. My followers are about half political and half writers, authors and readers. Now there are some writers, and especially christian writers say that they don’t feel right selling their books. You mean to tell me that God led you to write the book and all that goes into it and not mean for you to not tell people about it? I just don’t buy it. Check out some of my previous work:

Before we go let me tell you about one of the books found on my Bookstore,

Go to https:// payhip.com/ Christian NonFiction eBookStore then scroll down and click on Interactive Romans Road New King James Version

Long Ago, when the Roman Empire was at the height of its glory, a common saying was “All Roads Lead to Rome.” I want to tell you about a very special road — a road that existed then and still exists now. This road, now almost 2,000 years old, has never led to Rome. Yet, strangely enough, it is called the Romans Road.

This takes the reader to selected passages in the Book of Romans in the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation. This is the ideal way to share the gospel using your Kindle. The reader can also read the entire book of Romans un-interrupted.
