THE FLYOVER,
Friday, October 4, 2024,
Good Morning! On this day in 1927, sculpting began on Mount Rushmore in South Dakota’s Black Hills National Forest, taking 12 years to complete the granite images of four of America’s most revered presidents—George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.
In today’s edition, we have a story of a Colorado man protecting his dog from a mountain lion, reaffirming once again the special relationship between humans and canines.
We hope you enjoyed reading today’s Flyover. Let us know how we’re doing by replying to Russell Sherrard at russellsherrard@reagan.com.

TAKEOFF,
Dockworkers’ Strike Suspended until January,
The union representing 45,000 U.S. dockworkers has agreed to suspend their strike until Jan. 15 to allow time to finalize contract negotiations, according to sources.
The strike, which began early Tuesday, shut down ports from Maine to Texas for the first time since 1977. A new preliminary agreement includes an approximate 62% wage increase for union members, with work resuming at all affected ports.
The union initially sought a 77% pay raise over six years, with current base salaries around $81,000 annually.
In contrast, Harold Daggett, president of the ILA, who had vowed to “cripple” the U.S. economy over automation and wage demands, earns $728,000 annually as OILA chief and lives in a 7,136-square-foot mansion on a 10-acre estate in Sparta, New Jersey, with a Bentley and a pool.
FBI, Microsoft Seize Russian Spy Sites,
The FBI and Microsoft have seized over 100 web domains allegedly used by Russian intelligence for cyber-espionage operations that targeted U.S. agencies, Russian nonprofits, and Kremlin-critical media outlets.
According to court documents unsealed Thursday, the seized websites were used in a “spear phishing campaign” to trick victims into revealing sensitive information, aiming to steal valuable data and U.S. government intelligence.
Officials say Russian operatives, active since 2017, targeted nonprofits, think tanks, and officials supporting Ukraine and NATO, including former U.S. intelligence employees, Defense Department personnel, State and Energy employees, and military contractors.
The Justice Department seized 41 internet domains, while Microsoft seized an additional 66 domains operated by Russian agents.
Costco Now Offering Platinum Bars,
Costco is expanding its precious metals offerings by adding Swiss-made 1-ounce platinum bars. This builds on last year’s popular rollout of gold bars, which often sold out within hours.
Priced at $1,089.99 per bar, the platinum is available exclusively to Costco members through its website. Bars cannot be delivered to Louisiana, Nevada, or Puerto Rico.
Costco’s precious metal business has been highly profitable, with the retailer selling as much as $200 million a month in gold bars.
The value of platinum has increased more than 15% over the past 12 months, closing at $1,019.60 an ounce Wednesday.

Twitter and Facebook Marketing
My Name is Russell Sherrard. I am an experienced Social Media Marketer having 9 years of experience in Twitter marketing for multiple clients. The majority of my experience is with Authors and Writers as clients but will work with any legal and legitimate business.
Promote your book/ebook on twitter and anything digital. For example, Christian Apps. I can hear all the naysayers say that twitter is a cesspool and you can’t sell anything on twitter. I have been on twitter since August 2012. I am an author and I can tell you this is false. I have sold many, many books that I can track back to twitter. I have 12 thousand 200+ followers on twitter and it all depends on who you follow. My followers are about half political and half writers, authors and readers. Now there are some writers, and especially christian writers say that they don’t feel right selling their books. You mean to tell me that God led you to write the book and all that goes into it and not mean for you to not tell people about it? I just don’t buy it. Check out some of my previous work:

Before we go let me tell you about one of the books found on my Bookstore,
Go to https:// payhip.com/ Christian NonFiction eBookStore then scroll down and click on Interactive Romans Road New King James Version
Long Ago, when the Roman Empire was at the height of its glory, a common saying was “All Roads Lead to Rome.” I want to tell you about a very special road — a road that existed then and still exists now. This road, now almost 2,000 years old, has never led to Rome. Yet, strangely enough, it is called the Romans Road.
This takes the reader to selected passages in the Book of Romans in the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation. This is the ideal way to share the gospel using your Kindle. The reader can also read the entire book of Romans un-interrupted.
