God Wants You Fluent!

While visiting our daughter’s house for pizza we talked about an upcoming trip our granddaughter is planning. She will need to speak another language fluently. We all laughed at our attempts to do just that. Although I took two years of language in junior high, the small amount I knew is mostly gone. Without continuing to practice, the abilities to speak conversationally don’t remain. We revert back to speaking our own language.

Oh beloved, God wants to encourage you this morning. He says the faith talk of the Christian life must be practiced. He says become fluent in your faith! Allow yourself time to speak His language – love, faith, wisdom, virtue and all the fruit of the Spirit. He wants you to know that while some people seem to be more fluent, you are destined to be confident in faith as well!

It is the Spirit of the Living God who gives us the language of faith. He has given us the written Word, the Bible, to learn and speak. But He has given us His Spirit as well. Taking in the Word of God and allowing free reign of Holy Spirit indwelling allows us to conversationally become all that He has for us.

You, beloved, have a destiny to speak faith. It is more far reaching than a mere second language. It is your strength to remain steadfast, immovable and always abounding in the faith. Trust the Lord to teach you, speak often of the Truth of God and take in by practice the fantastic promises He has given us! You will be fluent! You will have God-assurance for the days to come! No matter where you travel you can be sure that God will teach you everything you need to know. Speak faith! Practice wherever you go and it will become second nature to you – binding your mind and heart to Christ!

God loves you and He’s for you! This is your year to become more fluent and find your destiny to walk into new territory proclaiming the Word of the Lord and leading others to learn the language of God’s wisdom, power and love. Rejoice as you practice and find your faith increasing all through the year!

Psalm 19:14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Romans 10:8 But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART “– that is, the word of faith which we are preaching

Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, And his tongue speaks justice.

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences.
