Gift giving is one of my favorite things to do. Whether it’s a new baby or a wedding I enjoy wrapping things up and giving them away. Christmas is wonderful for me because it’s the special time of year where we celebrate the best gift ever! And blessing our loved ones with gifts just puts the icing on the cake.
Sometimes I find myself wearied by trying to find just the right gift. I either don’t have the money for what I really want to give or I have the money and can’t find that thing that I just know would be perfect. Frustration sets in as the ideas in my head don’t match the outcome.
What a blessing to know that we can find all the joy we need in Christ! He is truly a gift from God we can remember every day! He is the gift that keeps on giving! We find joy in all that it means to belong to Christ, to be filled with Holy Spirit and to be sealed and secure in God. This is just the right gift and it never wears out or goes out of style.
Oh beloved, unwrap your gift again! Look all the wonders of the Lord over and admire them! Use those wonderful gifts. Find Joy in all your needs being met. Find more joy in realizing that you are born with a purpose and born again to fulfill that purpose. Find joy in what God says about you – you are redeemed, loved, chosen, appointed and anointed! You may not find joy in every day – some days are just hard. But you can always find joy in the LORD.
God loves you and He’s for you! We can all find joy for the journey as we go from living in the dark into His marvelous light!
Isaiah 35:10
And the ransomed of the Lord will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away. NAS
Psalm 119:143
As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands. NLT
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
