One morning recently, just before full daylight, the thunder we had experienced most of the night changed. It rolled and rolled and rolled. I stopped what I was doing so I could listen more intently. For a moment I thought it might be a tornado, it was that long and loud of a rumble. Later I got a text from a daughter who wondered the same thing. Last night I read that a prayer warrior I know had passed away yesterday and I couldn’t help but wonder if the heavenlies roared as she went home to be with Jesus.
Oh beloved, we see through a glass dimly right now. We have little if any idea of the heavenly impact of our lives. But God wants you to know this morning that you are part of the great cloud of witnesses in the earth today. You have put your trust in Christ and are saved to the uttermost. But there’s so much more. When you pray, demons are disturbed. When you praise, angels are stirred. When you call upon Jesus, the whole heavenly host comes to attention. You’re not just flapping in the breeze with this short life. You’re not just hoping things turn out okay. You aren’t just trying to make sure you are good enough for God to accept you when you draw your last breath. You are heaven’s ambassador. This is your most important assignment on earth. It impacts the heavenlies. Even as a student, daughter, wife, mother, co-worker, whatever other hat you wear – you are there as an ambassador of your faith. Nothing is without purpose when you have Jesus as your Savior. You need nothing but Him to perform exploits and to achieve your fulfillment as a born again believer in earth. It’s so simple, Christians often want to complicate it. It’s so easy, we often try to make it more than that.
But this morning God says to reacquaint yourself with the Truth. He says renew your vows to Him if you need to. He says repentance is always acceptable to Him. Even if you have grown weary of this walk of faith, you can return to your first love and really you must so that you can have the life you always wanted by His Spirit. You’re not the sum of the problems you face or the troubles around you. You are a holy, beautiful, protected, restored, powerful, wise, loving envoy of The Only Living God! God loves you and He’s for you, so give Him permission to use you up for His Kingdom as you live in the Light of who you really are in Christ. Romans 15:17 Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God. 2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us reveals the fragrance of the knowledge of Him in every place. 2 Corinthians 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. Romans 8:11: The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. About the Author: In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”. My website is http://rebekahbeene.wordpress.com My first book in print is Oh Beloved! Live in the Light of His Word.
