The other night I had one of those dreams. There was a lump on the deck of a house I was living in. I had a small white dog that went out on the deck with me and barked at it. I wasn’t sure what it was at first but I wanted to know if it was alive. So I dared to get up close to see. I had a stick but I wasn’t going to poke it with stick for fear it would get up and run after me. But I got close enough to see that it was still alive and what it was. It was a small red pig.

Since I have met an awesome woman of God who wrote a dream book, I looked pig up in that dictionary. And this is the gist of what it said: carriers of demons, ignorance, vicious, vengeful, disloyal.

Oh beloved, what I heard the Lord speak to my heart I believe will help the whole body of Christ. We have one enemy – the devil himself. He is real and he is active in the earth.  We are learning to be experienced believers who know how to slay demons and war in the Spirit. But that old devil, the red pig, is not dead yet. And as good as we are at warfare, we must stay on the offense of the demonic ways of the enemy.  He is vicious and he hopes we stay ignorant.  He is disloyal, because wherever he leads us, once we’ve fallen for his tactics, he walks off.  Although he is defeated by Jesus, and his ultimate demise is in the Word of God – he won’t give up without a fight.

But the Good News! We who are born again are sealed by Holy Spirit. And as we allow Holy Spirit to fill us continually, we have the Power of God to overcome all the wiles of the enemy. There’s no need to let the enemy win, because we are using weapons that are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.  We can say no to demonic work and yes to God. We can lay aside our useless fleshly weapons and stand in the Power of His Might!  God wants you to know that poking the pig with a stick won’t help you. But walking in faith will! This is time for a strong faith that isn’t ignorant of either satan’s tactics or God’s Word.  You beloved, are an overcomer, and as you ask God to fill you with His Spirit, you will overcome more and more. And realize that those whom God has called will have more warfare than imaginable, because your high calling is precious to God and venomous to the enemy.

God loves you and He’s for you. It’s time to rise up against passive apathy. Reach for the Lord, pick up your praise, denounce works of darkness and be who God called you to be in the Light of His Word of Truth!

2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.

1 Peter 5:8-9 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
