Not long ago we were just past Prescott heading back to Arkadelphia on the interstate. Two semis were neck and neck for quite a few miles, building up a line of cars waiting to pass. Hubby was in the right-hand lane, waiting as well.
Someone began flashing their truck lights at us. We had nowhere to go, but the vehicle continued to flash his lights. Finally, they got just past us on the left side. He proceeded to jump in front of us driving erratically.
Then this huge dually pickup did the unthinkable. He recklessly took off on the shoulder to pass the two semis while on a bridge no less! Hubby backed off because we just knew it could prove to be a horrible accident. He managed to make it past the trucks and we could see his lights as he continued to erratically drive in and out of traffic until he was out of sight. Why would someone take a chance like that in the rain and the dark, taking other people’s lives in his hands as well?
Oh beloved, God speaks to my heart and yours. There is a current in the world today. It speaks of me first, me best and care for no one else. It causes accidents, troubles and more. Horrible accidents happen often because one person takes life for granted and insists on their own way.
God wants you to know this morning that He is aware of the situation. You are maneuvering through life and you want to get ahead of what seems to have you stuck. He says this morning, “Be still and know that I AM God”. He goes on to say, “Wait on Me” and I will get you where you need to be. He also says pray at all times. I had just been praying that God would keep us safe on that wet, dark, congested with traffic highway. You aren’t a victim of circumstances at all. You are an ambassador of faith, who is maneuvering safely through your life to your ultimate destination. Meanwhile, pray that others won’t take life so for granted that they don’t care what happens to anyone else.
God loves you and He will get you where you need to be. Rise up this morning and give this day to the Lord. Rest in His promises and live the life of freedom and peace, wherever you need to go.

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
