Last night while we were watching tv I heard birds singing outside. It was faint, but they were sure making music. Then in the night when I got up to turn down the a/c I heard another bird singing a little louder. I opened the window and listened. That bird was singing in the dark as though it was bright daylight. There are so many sounds during the day that singing birds get lost in the noise. But in the night the music they make is quite beautiful, even the lone singer at 2 am.
Oh beloved, God speaks to our hearts. I have had some dark nights. I don’t think I always wanted to sing at that time. How about you? Yet I have a home and am inside in all the comforts. If birds can sing through the night, what about us?
God wants you to know that singing and making melody in our hearts is His symphony through us. Life can be difficult and night seasons especially hard. But as we sing to the Lord, we receive comfort and hope. God’s people should have the most beautiful voices of praise and worship. Just as that lone bird sang in the middle of the night, we too can learn to sing our way through the night. You beloved, are a gift from God with music of the heart you can give back to Him. Not the victim’s melody, but the victory song!
God loves you and He is with you, even in the night. Run to Him this morning and ask Him for a melody to get you through life’s darkest times. And live the life of praise with joyful singing always!
Psalm 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the LORD; exult before him!

About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural.
