Our computer antivirus and security software has expired. If you wonder how I know it’s the constant reminder via popups. The word EXPIRED is in red, along with reactivate today. I am doing just that today. But in the meantime, I will be reminded often. I guess I am glad of that because of my own forgetfulness of these things.
Oh beloved, God speaks to our hearts this morning. Security is of the utmost importance to our lives. Both the security of our computers and the security of our hearts and minds. We need God’s Real-time protection: His Holy Spirit in us is constantly scans for viruses, trojans, spyware, adware, and other malware. A red print reminder may not pop up for us, but His Spirit works the same way. Over and over for believers, we hear the warnings. Our subscription to safety is Jesus. A life given to Christ and lived for Him brings benefits beyond our imagination.
It’s time for you to know your Security. God wants you to be relieved of the fear and worry and condemnation you carry around. While you can’t buy a good enough security in the natural for your life, you can rely on the most magnificent security system of all. You can lay down the securities you’ve built up for yourself and no longer commit to being solitary and armored with self- help. Instead, He says let me relieve you of all that hinders you. I AM that I AM and only I can do this for you.
God loves you and He is your only true Security. Run to Him this morning and renew your relationship with Him. Praise Him for all He is capable of doing in you, with you and for you. And live fearlessly free of things that want to hold you down.
Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
2 Peter 3:17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.
Proverbs 3:26 for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
Proverbs 19:23 Fear of the Lord leads to life, bringing security and protection from harm.
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
