We went to bed last night reading about the flooding in Colorado. Flash floods. Those are the worst kind. Coming out of nowhere and with such fierce rage. The beautiful area of Pagosa Springs is part of the dangerous flooding. From beauty to destruction can happen so quickly.
Oh beloved, God speaks to my heart and yours this morning. Maybe your life is good right now. But the flash floods of trouble come out of nowhere and with ferocity that knocks you off your feet. Some of you are there now. Some of you have just come through the floods.
God wants to give you a bridge that won’t wash away. He wants to rebuild your faith so that after the floods, you can still walk and talk and give Him the glory. It’s not easy going through floods of any kind. But the promises of God are for you always. That’s why you can survive the deluge. In spite of wondering “why God?” In spite of gulping for air and hiding your eyes from all that you are going through. His promises remain when nothing else is left. The beauty gone, but the beauty of the Lord God is still upon you. That’s victory, that’s overcoming faith. That’s you in Christ.
God loves you and He will remain your safety always. Run to Him this morning and hide in His presence if you need to. Praise Him in your storm. And wait in faith until the storm passes by.
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.
John 16:33 I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists.
