Well to say this Easter was different is putting it mildly.  Experiencing Easter Church Service in our car started the day off. But by the end of the day we were running for cover.  The storm that our area endured came up out of nowhere.  It was ferocious and word is it will be days not hours till power is restored.

Oh beloved, life can get stormy can’t it? We want to say one storm at a time please. We even want to know when the next storm is coming so we can be prepared.  And truth be told in our heart of hearts we don’t even want to experience storms. We want a safe life.

God wants you to know this morning that storms are inevitable.  But He also wants you to know that He is with you in every one you encounter.  And you can rest assured that even in the storm His purpose for you is not thwarted.  Your destiny is to become more powerful in storms.  To remain faithful in danger and to declare God’s goodness in the darkest moments.   And just as suddenly as the storms of life hit, the restoration of God will happen.  And your thanksgiving for the blessings of life will be to His praise honor and glory!

God loves you and He’s for you. In the sunshine peaceful days. In the stormy catastrophic days. Lay your cares at His feet this morning and live a life of praise. And let Him make you stronger in faith in the light of His Sovereign care.

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world”

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows those who take refuge in Him

About the Author:

Rebekah Beene

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
