Recently we watched a movie with Jimmy Stewart as a lawyer defending a soldier accused of killing a prize fighter over his wife. Now this prize fighter had lots of trophies and awards for winning many battles.
Oh beloved, God speaks to my heart and yours. Believers are fighters. We fight for a prize that is out of this world. And we don’t fight for awards or trophies of the earth. But we are in a fight and the arena is life and there is one who is always out to kill us. He may not try death on us all, but he is a killer a thief and a liar, who wants to destroy any strength in power of Holy Spirit we have. He wants us to believe things are hopeless, we have no reason to live. He would love for us to tap out and quit altogether.
But God has a plan in our weakest moments. He shows up! He overcomes all the plans of the enemy on our behalf. But we can’t remain for the 10 count lying in our own weakness. We must arise! We must stand up and walk in the power of Holy Spirit! These are not the days to quit! These are the days to stand taller, fight harder and receive the crown! It’s your calling the opposition is after. That high calling in Christ Jesus! The weapons formed against you are carnal, but you will have to fight with the prize in your mind – spiritually and without succumbing to tactics that will only cause you to lose. You are in the Spirit, you are born again of incorruptible seed and within you is the power of God through the resurrection of Christ to stand! You won’t lose because you’ve been redeemed to be a winner!
God loves you and He’s for you! He’s with you in this arena of life and He’s in your corner. He is within you! So run to Him this morning and talk over your strategy to win with Him. And let Him pour His strategies into you! And then live with the glory of God as your witness that you will triumph in Christ and gain the prize of a winner in this life and the next!
Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
1 John 5:4 because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].
2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists.
