Our outdoor blow up Santa keeps falling face forward. We pick him back up but it keeps happening. One good gust of wind and he’s back on his face.
When the winds of adversity or change come it tends to blow us over doesn’t it? It’s hard to stand resolute in the mess.
Oh beloved, when you feel like you’re being blown away by life remember it’s okay to fall forward. Your job is not to be strong enough but to fall into the Fathers arms. To fall on your face in prayer. He will always pick you up and steady you again. He hears your hear cries when no one else knows a thing.
He doesn’t just hear you, He works even the harshest winds for good on your behalf. What seems impossible to believe can ever be a good turn out will finally end in victory. Does that mean God puts you through it all? No. But He is your Shelter, your Answer, your Commander and your Lord. As you learn to fall forward towards Him you will see He never fails to come to your aid nor to set you aright. You’re not the victim of this life’s harsh realities. You are a citizen of heaven with all the promises of God in hand!
God loves you and He’s for you. He’s not counting your troubles nor is He blaming you or putting you under condemnation. Run to Him this morning and let Him speak love songs to your heart as you live in the light of His mercy and grace.
Psalm 71:5 For You have been my hope, Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.
Isaiah 49:13 Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones
Lamentations 3:25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him
Proverbs 24:16 The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
