A minister I listen to often says we place all our faith in the rapture and very little in the gospel. How true this is. The church as a whole has placed all its hope in a future event. We’ve said to ourselves we’ll pace and struggle until Jesus sweeps us away from all this pain.
But that isn’t what our heavenly Father has planned.
Jesus will return for a TRIUMPHANT church, a church that has grown so strong in their faith no demon can go against it. Isn’t this what the Word says? The gates of hell WILL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST US. (Mt 16:18)
Instead, we let hell prevail, and we flounder around, waiting for Jesus to clear the chess board and crown Himself king. Folks, HE’S ALREADY KING.
THE VICTORY IS ALREADY WON.
I watched a video where YESHUA healed a young woman’s legs. She stood for the first time in ages. With tears in my eyes and gratitude in my heart, I said, “Of course, He did. He raised the dead.”
Of course, He healed her legs. HE WAS DEAD BUT NOW LIVETH. Of course, that unborn child returned to life inside the womb, He was formed within Mary’s womb without natural processes. Of course, that incurable disease vanished, He healed lepers, outcasts. Of course, those needed finances showed up on time, He multiplied the bread and fish of a boy to feed thousands, not once, but twice.
Of course, in this hour, He saves a nation, He parted a great sea to save millions of His people.
THIS IS THE GOD WE SERVE, and WE ARE HIS TRIUMPHANT CHURCH.
We hold in our hearts the WORD THAT CREATED THE EARTH and all that is in it. He spoke and BOOM Light was. Without sun or moon or any planet to shed it. He breathed and the atmosphere formed.
I had another realization this past weekend. I saw the church meeting on Sunday to speak the WORD OF LIFE and the Spirit spoke clearly. He said, “None of these words will return void.” (Is 55:11)
Do you get that? None. Not one word He’s spoken will fail!
Is it any wonder, then, that the devil has tried to shut down the church? BECAUSE ALL OF THOSE WORDS SPOKEN ARE NOW AT WORK. Thousands of them, millions of them, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, creating, shifting, changing.
Yet we doubt what God will do and cling to our vision of the rapture as an escape. Yes, He will return, but it will not be to scoop up a weak, feeble church, writhing in pain. It will be because, “I TOLD YOU SO, and YOU BELIEVED IT.”
Then, BOOM, the KING OF KINGS is in the sky, and we’re going up, up, up in a VICTORY MARCH that we’ve believed for. But until then, until that moment comes, we must CONTINUE doing HIS GREATER WORKS. WE STRETCH FORTH HIS HANDS TO HEAL AND WITH ALL BOLDNESS do the amazing works of CHRIST, the RESURRECTED ONE, the LORD OF HOSTS, who DEFEATED SIN AND DEATH ONCE AND FOR ALL. (John 14:12; Act 4:29; Act 10:38)
Let’s act like it.
“And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” (Acts 4:29-31)
