Water of Life

by Rebekah Beene

We loved going to the river to swim as teens. Eventually the road to that wonderful flowing water was fenced off. There was an artesian spring my parents used to get water from in the same area. But one day we found out someone had blocked it off.

Flowing fresh water is imperative to our health. Without water it becomes hard to be clean, provide food or be refreshed. Even cattle know this. On the trail they would get very thirsty. Once they smelled water they would often stampede to it.

Oh beloved Jesus is the water of life! Through Him we become clean, are fed Living bread and always find refreshment. No other source will do. The enemy may tell you it’s all dried up or blocked away from your access. He will use lies that say you aren’t worthy or God has forsaken you.

God wants you to know that when you hear the enemy lie to you stampede in the direction of God! Run quickly and find your refreshment and stay there, close to Him, always!

God loves you and He’s for you! Rejoice that everything you need is found where He is! Rest in His promises and seek His face. Thank Him as well for the life giving flow that is yours for the asking. And live in the light of His mercy and grace!

John 7:38 Anyone who believes in mMemay come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'”

Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.

Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.

John 4:13-14 Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

Rebekah Beene

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
