Often a word will just jump out at me. And on Saturday the word eclipse did just that. And I knew God wanted to talk.
The last eclipse I remember was in the 80s. it was strange to see the sky that day. I can’t even explain how it felt. It was light and yet dark.
Oh beloved, how many times in your life have you felt the same way? Everything is so dark yet there was light. That’s the light of the Lord. I’ve had those times in my life that I felt such utter darkness. I felt so hopeless. But there was God there was Jesus and there was Holy Spirit. The light of the world. One thing we can be sure, regardless what happens at this eclipse at this time – God and His glory will never be eclipsed. Even those are who trying to put His light out and take Jesus out of the world completely are going to be confounded because they will meet with the Light and they will know.
God wants to remind you and Me that we have the light within us and because of Jesus if we are truly born again and we live for Him, we have the light within us and we are the light of the world as well . Remember to step into something dark that you’d rather not deal with- you get to be the light into that area. Everything is temporary, except for God, who is eternal. And because of Him you as well are eternal.
God loves you and he is for you . Make sure today that you have the right light so that nothing will be eclipsed when you meet with darkness. Don’t ever forget God will carry you and his plans will prevail!
Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands!
James 1:17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
