TAKEOFF.

Trump Demands Iran’s “Complete Give-Up”.

President Trump demanded Iran’s “complete give-up” and said he’s seeking “a real end” to the escalating Israel-Iran conflict, not just a ceasefire, after cutting short his G7 summit participation to return to Washington.

Trump said Tuesday the U.S. knows where Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding but won’t kill him “for now,” while urging Iran’s “unconditional surrender” as the five-day conflict continues.

Israel said it killed Ali Shadmani, Iran’s wartime chief of staff and most senior military commander, as part of an ongoing offensive that has reportedly killed more than 20 Iranian senior military officers since Friday.

Aerial footage showed massive traffic jams as thousands of Iranians fled the capital after five days of Israeli airstrikes.

NYC Comptroller Arrested by ICE.

New York City Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander was arrested Tuesday by ICE agents outside a Manhattan immigration court after trying to block the detention of a man leaving immigration court.

Lander refused to release the man to ICE officers without a judicial warrant, leading to a scuffle that was caught on video.

He was held for several hours but released after charges of assaulting and obstructing federal officers were dropped.

Streaming Surpasses Traditional TV.

For the first time in TV history, streaming platforms have overtaken cable and broadcast combined in U.S. TV viewership, grabbing 44.8% of all screen time in May, according to Nielsen.

The combination of broadcast, with 20.1%, and all cable channels, with 24.1%, represented 44.2% of TV viewing, according to Nielsen. Other TV uses, including video games and DVD viewing, made up the small remainder.

YouTube and Netflix alone made up nearly 20% of total U.S. viewing. Free ad-supported services like Tubi, Roku Channel, and Pluto TV also played a key role in the surge.

POLITICS.

Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine introduced a resolution Monday to block any U.S. military action against Iran without congressional approval, citing fears that the escalating Israel-Iran conflict could pull America into another Middle East war.

Half of Americans said they view Iran as an enemy to the U.S. in a new poll from The Economist/YouGov. Among other responses, 25% said the Middle Eastern nation was “unfriendly,” 4% said it was “friendly,” and 1% called it an “ally.”

U S Capitol Police told senators Tuesday that threats against members of Congress surged to nearly 9,500 last year—the highest since 2021—following the targeted killing of a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband over the weekend.

Former Sen. Bob Menendez, 71, reported to a Pennsylvania prison Tuesday to begin serving an 11-year sentence for bribery. The New Jersey Democrat was convicted of accepting cash, gold bars, and other gifts in exchange for political favors.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was captured on video dramatically rolling her eyes after French President Emmanuel Macron whispered to her during the G7 summit in Alberta, Canada, on Monday.

Long Ago, when the Roman Empire was at the height of its glory, a common saying was “All Roads Lead to Rome.” I want to tell you about a very special road — a road that existed then and still exists now. This road, now almost 2,000 years old, has never led to Rome. Yet, strangely enough, it is called the Romans Road.

This takes the reader to selected passages in the Book of Romans in the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation. This is the ideal way to share the gospel using your Kindle. The reader can also read the entire book of Romans un-interrupted.
