TAKEOFF,

Trump Takes Oath, Starts Signing Orders,

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday, delivering a 30-minute inaugural address outlining his agenda and stating that “the golden age of America begins right now.”

Late Monday, Trump began signing a number of sweeping executive orders, including issuing 1,500 pardons to participants in the Jan 6, 2021 mob scene at the Capitol. “They’ve been treated very unfair,” he said.

Trump was expected to sign immigration directives ordering the military to assist with border security, suspend refugee admissions, and end birthright citizenship. He was also set to declare a national emergency at the southern border.

The president’s list also included orders related to gender issues. These orders will require federal policy to recognize only two sexes: male and female, rolling back a number of federal diversity programs.

Included among the orders Trump signed Monday were ones halting nearly 80 Biden-era actions and withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement and the World Health Organization.

Biden Issues Last-Minute Family Pardons,

In his final hours in office, former President Joe Biden issued pardons to his siblings, their spouses, Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley, and members of the Jan. 6 investigative committee.

Biden cited concerns over politically motivated retribution under Trump’s administration, saying the pardons don’t imply wrongdoing but were necessary to protect people from “baseless” investigations.

The move, unprecedented in scale, drew criticism for its potential impact on future presidential clemency norms.

While recipients expressed gratitude, legal experts noted the pardons might compel them to testify in future investigations, limiting their Fifth Amendment protections.

Ohio State Wins National Championship,

The Ohio State Buckeyes won the college football national championship Monday night, beating the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame 34-23 in the first-ever 12-team playoff format.

Both teams struggled to reach the final 12-team playoff field, the 14-1 Irish surviving a week 3 loss to Northern Illinois, and OSU, 13-2, suffering a 13-10 loss to rival Michigan on Thanksgiving weekend, their fourth straight loss to the Wolverines.

Monday’s meeting marked the ninth time these two schools faced each other, with their first game occurring in 1935, ending in an 18-13 victory for Notre Dame in Columbus.

POLITICS,

The Senate on Monday confirmed Marco Rubio as secretary of state, making him the first of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees to win the approval of the upper chamber. The vote was 99-0.

Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth secured committee approval Monday as the Senate Armed Services Committee advanced his nomination for defense secretary in a party-line vote, sending it to the Senate floor.

John Ratcliffe’s CIA director nomination also advanced Monday with a 14-3 Senate Intelligence Committee vote, moving it to the full Senate for confirmation.

The White House named Brian Driscoll as acting FBI director Monday, following Deputy Director Paul Abbate’s unexpected retirement, declining to temporarily replace Director Christopher Wray.

Promote your book/ebook on twitter and anything digital. For example, Christian Apps. I can hear all the naysayers say that twitter is a cesspool and you can’t sell anything on twitter. I have been on twitter since August 2012. I am an author and I can tell you this is false. I have sold many, many books that I can track back to twitter. I have 14 thousand 190+ followers on twitter and it all depends on who you follow. My followers are about half political and half writers, authors and readers. Now there are some writers, and especially christian writers say that they don’t feel right selling their books. You mean to tell me that God led you to write the book and all that goes into it and not mean for you to not tell people about it? I just don’t buy it.

I will send your messages either manually or scheduled. Will gain followers daily which could turn into customers. I will boost your traffic and business. I will do my research in order to understand your niche and I will make sure I can help you boost your business.

Long Ago, when the Roman Empire was at the height of its glory, a common saying was “All Roads Lead to Rome.” I want to tell you about a very special road — a road that existed then and still exists now. This road, now almost 2,000 years old, has never led to Rome. Yet, strangely enough, it is called the Romans Road.

This takes the reader to selected passages in the Book of Romans in the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation. This is the ideal way to share the gospel using your Kindle. The reader can also read the entire book of Romans un-interrupted.
