TAKEOFF,
Harris Interview Draws Mixed Reviews,
Reviews of Vice President Kamala Harris’ first sit down interview since becoming the Democratic nominee have been mixed, with one publication stating she left voters with “more questions than answers” Thursday night.
During a 30-minute interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Harris, accompanied by her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, emphasized that her “values have not changed” despite several policy shifts. She also mentioned that she would be open to appointing a Republican to her Cabinet.
A columnist from The New York Times found the interview to be “vague” and “vacuous,” stating that Harris avoided giving straight answers and stuck to “flimsy” talking points.
Other outlets praised the interview, saying Harris came across as warm, relatable, and likable.
Grocery Chain to End Tobacco Sales,
Stop & Shop, an East Coast grocery chain with 360 stores, will end sales of tobacco products today, citing community wellness and other major retailers like Walmart, CVS, and Target with similar policies.
The grocery chain has joined forces with the American Cancer Society and will organize cigarette buyback events to encourage customers to quit. Stop & Shop stated that the transition to being tobacco-free would discourage youngsters from smoking and enhance public health.
Stop & Shop’s new policy arrived as a new poll showed that cannabis and hallucinogen use remains high among adults 19-30 and 35-50, with 42% of younger adults using cannabis in 2023.

POLITICS,
Inflation rose 0.2% in July and 2.5% over the past year, close to expectations, while incomes increased 0.3% and consumer spending 0.5%, according to data released Friday by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
In other economic news, a new poll revealed that Americans’ economic confidence improved slightly in August, with 31% saying the economy is “getting better,” despite 63% still believing it’s not.
Former President Trump’s lawyers asked a federal court to intervene in his New York “hush money” case, seeking to overturn his conviction and delay sentencing, citing constitutional violations and recent Supreme Court immunity rulings.

My Name is Russell Sherrard. I am an experienced Social Media Marketer having 9 years of experience in Twitter marketing for multiple clients. The majority of my experience is with Authors and Writers as clients but will work with any legal and legitimate business.
Promote your book/ebook on twitter and anything digital. For example, Christian Apps. I can hear all the naysayers say that twitter is a cesspool and you can’t sell anything on twitter. I have been on twitter since August 2012. I am an author and I can tell you this is false. I have sold many, many books that I can track back to twitter. I have 12 thousand 200+ followers on twitter and it all depends on who you follow. My followers are about half political and half writers, authors and readers. Now there are some writers, and especially christian writers say that they don’t feel right selling their books. You mean to tell me that God led you to write the book and all that goes into it and not mean for you to not tell people about it? I just don’t buy it. Check out some of my previous work:
