Send to KindleFireworks were still being shot off in our neighborhood after we went to bed. We had already made our huge display at one of our daughter’s houses. Between the boxes and tubes they bought and the ones we bought it was a 2 hour show on the night before. It doesn’t take long to spend quite a bit on the light show. But the time flies and the beautiful fireworks are gone before you know it. Much beauty and excitement and then fizzle. Even the best fireworks don’t last forever.
God wants you and I to reach for heaven! He wants to display His glory to us, in us and through us. But we cannot be content with the worldly show of sparks and blasts. Whatever the world offers won’t last, but the Light of the world lasts forever and we are blessed indeed.
Oh beloved, it’s time to run to the Father and ask Him! Ask Him as a child asks for fireworks! Don’t hold back. Don’t hesitate. Just ask! He has magnificent displays set aside for you! He has planned your life since before the foundation of the world. Your best day humanly speaking isn’t going to sustain you. The fireworks of temporary satisfaction will come to an end. But God’s glory will continue until He is revealed from Heaven – and then you will live in His Presence forever! It’s more than the excitement, happiness and fun of the good times you have. This is a time in history when His Presence in eager believers will bring His Light to show the way for you and to all who see Him through you.
Your destiny is not to fizzle out and barely make it into heaven. No, beloved, your destiny is to bring the show with you – display the power of God to the nations! An as well, God’s power working within you shuts the enemy’s mouth and renders him useless. For this purpose Christ was manifest – to destroy the works of the evil one! The sword of the Spirit and the Word of God creates a display of power and authority that God has ordained for you!
God loves you and He’s for you! Thank Him for all He is doing in the earth today. Let Him prepare you to be a vessel of honor and glory as you live in the Light of His Displayed Presence today!

2 Corinthians 3:18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.
