CrossPs. 100:2 Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.

It matters how we approach God. It matters to God, and it should matter to us. Think about it. How would you feel if your children always came to you with their complaints and problems and never their expressions of love and gratitude? It wears thin doesn’t it? Now think about God and how many prayers He is hearing all the time. I am sure that most of the time He is hearing the negative and not the positive. I know He wants us to bring our needs before Him. He wants to take the burdens off our shoulders, but don’t you think He also wants to hear the praise of our hearts?

We are to give Him thanks in everything. That is, we are to find things in all things in which to be grateful for. There are lessons to learn about our faith and our Lord that can be found in all things. A grateful heart is a glad heart. Our walk with the Lord is a constant refining and maturing process. As we live in faith we are being made into a holy people pleasing to the Lord. He uses life to grow us and the more we grow, the more we discover the majesty and glory of God.

The Lord is with us and for us! The Lord never gives up on us! The Lord desires nothing but good for us. He refines our souls in preparation for heaven. He helps us in our many battles with Satan to overcome him. O dear brother and sister, enter into the presence of the Lord with gladness! Let your heart sing with joy, for the Lord our God is with us. Lift up your heart today and let Him know that you love and appreciate Him and all He is doing for you. Let your voice be heard today in God’s throne room! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy.

About the Author:

Jim HughesSpending his formative years in Ft. Wayne, IN, Jim followed the love of his life to southeast Iowa where they married and have spent the majority of their lives. Jim has pastored several churches throughout his life and has worked many years in local factories to help support his family. The father of two married adult children and one son still at home, Jim is a first-time author.

C Through Marriage came into being through many years of pastoral and life experiences. The book first took on a life of its own over 20 years ago when I sought to address the much publicized moral failures of prominent leaders in the church. In the chaper on Chasity, I include the guideliness that I developed then to protect one’s self from such failures.

I am a firm believer in order to make sense out of life you have to use much common sense. We need to get back to the basics of what has worked for many, many generations. If is isn’t broke, why try to fix it? I strive to return to the basics of what really works in all my writings.
