Most of our immediate family gathered together one afternoon recently to celebrate my hubby’s birthday.  We had a wonderful time, grilling, gaming and laughing a lot!  The food was so good but the fellowship was out of this world.  Without the fellowship the food would be just another meal.

Something about gathering together and enjoying each other’s company is the icing on the cake. To tell you the truth, everyone was over the moon about the cake I made. And I was worried because the icing was from three tubs that were pre-made.  Who knew they would love that store bought icing on a homemade cake.

Oh beloved, have you found the icing on your cake yet?  It’s time! It’s time to find your place of celebration and pour yourself into it?  God is watching you, not to punish you, but to relieve you of the things that keep you from fully enjoying your life.  Maybe your problem is that you can’t forgive yourself of some past mistakes.  As a believer you have no right to withhold that icing.  Jesus poured Himself out on the cross so that you would never have to leave earth without forgiveness.  Maybe you are grieving. Grief is real. Loss is absolutely the hardest thing we humans face. But you have the promises of God to cover that as well. So you don’t have to mourn “as those who have no hope”.  Maybe you have just forgotten how to live.  It’s time you stopped the rat race and smear the rich mercy and grace of God all over your life.  Don’t hold back.  When you think you have enough mercy and grace, add some more. Such beautiful ingredients don’t need to be held back.

God loves you and He’s for you.  Celebrate this life.  It’s a gift from God.  Embrace the wonder of having another day in His Marvelous Grace plan.  And live, precious believer, with the lavish icing on the cake of your life, walking in victory, thankful for everything and blessed beyond measure today and every day!

Ecclesiastes 5:19 Furthermore, as for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also empowered him to eat from them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.

John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 92:4 For You, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
