As hubby was walking out the door one day this week, I asked him if the days were already getting shorter. Sure enough it was now darker at 5:30 am than it was just a month ago. I don’t know about you but I’m not fond of the darker mornings. I loved when we walked out so early and you could see clearly just about everywhere.
Oh beloved, God speaks to my heart. The days are getting darker. In more ways than one. The times have changed so drastically that now even so-called Christians are fighting against one another. That’s dark! Darkness makes a person think differently: their personal opinions matter more than the love of God and the Word of God.  There’s also manufacturing of unnatural light -where the Light of God has been abandoned for false brightness.  This world is surely getting darker all the time.
But God wants you to know this morning that you can keep the Light of Jesus going, no matter how dark it gets. In these last days it will take courage to carry the Light with you. You may think it’s just darkness, and then you will be in heaven. But you are also seated in heavenly places with Him now. Jesus also said that everyone who trusts in Him will never have to walk in the dark. You aren’t a victim of this world because you are not of this world. People are calling themselves victims and are crying out day and night for justice of their dark deeds. But you, precious believer, are no victim. You carry that Light with you and it will be a beacon for those who want the Light. You will also be a terror for those who hate the Light. Be secure in who you are in Christ, so that you don’t faint in the day of dark adversity.
God loves you and He is with you through it all. Talk to Him this morning and thank Him for the richest gift of His Light. Read the Words that talk about your life in Christ. And carry the Light as a Love Beacon for your life and others.
John 12:46 I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in Me will no longer remain in the dark.
Romans 2:7 To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life.
John 1:4-5 In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
1 John 1:5-7 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
