Both my dad and my mom got sick and had hospital stays when I was young. I never remember having any concerns about them dying or being disabled. I do believe being a child helps. That simple trust and lack of worry are sure nice.
Yesterday my hubby got sick. It’s not the first time but it is rare that he has ever been in the hospital. And for just a moment while we were waiting for help at our home I thought he might be dying.
Oh beloved. Being a child of God helps. He asks us to have simple trust and not to worry. Although I felt panic I knew I would lose my peace if I dwelled in panic mode. And as believers, I did ask hubby if he was departing for heaven. He responded, “It’s not my time”.
God says behold this morning. Behold My goodness in the land of the living. Behold My ability to get you through anything and everything. And behold the prayers of the saints and the value of having prayer warriors who will do warfare prayers.
He wants you to know it’s not time to give up or give in. Keep your wits about you because you will need a sound mind for the days ahead. Satan is a liar and a trickster. He wants to specifically kill, steal and destroy. As you praise Him this morning for the goodness of God, you can feel relieved of the onslaught of the demonic.
God loves you and He’s for you. No matter what. He is Jehovah Rapha- the Lord who heals. He is also El Shaddai- the all sufficient one. Run to Him this morning with childlike Faith and stay free from worry and fear in every situation.
Isaiah 26:3-4 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and sound mind.
Ephesians 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
