I asked her how she was today. The young woman behind the deli counter in the grocery store I visited yesterday. Her response was, “Oh you know, livin’ the life”, as she looked around her work area. I smiled and started to move on. But the look of resignation on her face prompted me to stop and visit for a moment. All I could offer her was a response that God would give anyone He met at a deli counter (or anywhere). When I did leave her area, she was smiling.
“God knows where you are, and He knows how you are doing. He has not forgotten you nor is He indifferent. He loves you and His plan for you far surpasses your present circumstances.”
Oh beloved, God says the same thing to you and me and all of us. He knows. He has not forgotten you. He isn’t indifferent. And His love prompts His plan for you to surpass your present circumstances.
Whatever you are dealing with this morning, He has a plan in it. He is the Only One who can part your Red Sea. And He isn’t bound to only help you once and then give it to you to do the rest. He is the one who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. He is the one who calls you chosen, royal, holy, and oh so much more! He hasn’t stopped by your cubicle of difficulty to tell you “I told you so”, “I warned you” or “I help those who help themselves”. This very day He is stopping by to tell you that He is working all things out for His glory and your good. He also wants to fill you with fresh fire of Holy Spirit so that you can walk in power even behind the deli counter or any other situation you are presently in. You aren’t meant to hide and hope you don’t get seen. You are meant to stand out in the Spirit and banish demons wherever you go!
God loves you and He wants to change your life. Never be afraid to trust Him, for His glory is what your heart longs for – even more than your desire for any other thing in the world.
Ephesians 1:11 Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as His own inheritance. Before we were even born, He gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in His heart. TPT
Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Romans 8:28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
