As the helicopter flew over our area and around our house last night, I was thankful. Thankful that a friend had sent me a post from our sheriff about a manhunt.  And thankful that our home has lots of light and good locks.  We went to bed knowing we had two deputies behind us as neighbors.

Oh beloved, we don’t always know what danger lurks around us. But we know that God is with us. We are guarded by His Word and His heavenly host.  Bad things can happen. But God is bigger than the things that come against us.

God wants you to know this morning that no weapon formed against you will prosper.  The enemy is always a loser in the economy of both heaven and earth. He works in the red always. He shows himself as who he really is. The man on the run will be captured. But until he is apprehended, he will think he is winning. So too the devil is about to be apprehended. And in the meantime, he isn’t winning either. For this purpose was the Son of God manifest – to destroy the works of the evil one.

God says to know where your enemy is and how he operates is yours for the knowing. Study the Word and see how he works. Cunningly devised plans. Lying words twisting the Scriptures.  Getting you to doubt God.  And He says to study the Word most of all to see how God works. He is always loving, restoring, calling His people to repent, return and renew.  Oh how blessed you are! You get to know your Creator and live for Him every day in freedom and safety!

God loves you and He’s for you. Hallelujah! Better than a porchlight. Stronger than a deadbolt lock.  Run to Him this morning and praise Him for His faithfulness. And live unafraid and prepared for life, in the Light of His Word that is so true!

1 Samuel 2:9 He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone.

Psalm 16:8-9 I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure.

Proverbs 1:33 but whoever listens to Me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.

About the Author:

Rebekah Beene

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
