One of the scariest movies I have watched as an adult comes to mind this morning. It is a movie about man eating tigers and one man’s attempt to stop the carnage. The tigers in the movie seemed to have a hate for men and stealthily disposed of them one by one. I am not afraid of ridiculous movies with nonsensical dangers. But it does unnerve me to watch a movie that could actually happen. Truth is stranger than fiction, and this movie has some elements of historic accuracy. Aren’t we glad man-eating tigers don’t wander around our neighborhoods in America?

Oh beloved, don’t be like the world. Don’t fall for nonsensical dangers. Don’t believe the world’s version of life. Don’t get sucked in to hate. Don’t be tempted to play the blame game. Don’t be a “man eating tiger”. We aren’t here to devour one another or to pick a group of people to punish. For the world, it is true that they live in darkness. But for believers, we are to live in the Light and walk in the Light and share the Light.
God says He sees you and He knows your fears seem so real right now. But He also says watch and see. Remain calm and don’t let the enemy talk you into hating and fearing people or life.  You belong to Him. You who are truly born again have this steadfast hope. You are equipped with weapons of warfare that aren’t carnal. IF you learn to live like a believer, you will have full use of the spiritual weapons that are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. You aren’t a victim of this earthly realm. You are an ambassador who is fearless and able to take ground for the Kingdom and Glory of God!
God loves you and He will be with you always. Being born again isn’t just about heaven someday, although there will be that reward.  It’s about living fearless in this world as you walk in wisdom power and love every day!
2 Corinthians 10:4-5For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:3 I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ.

1 Timothy 1:5 The goal of our instruction is the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith.

About the Author:

Rebekah Beene

In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
