One of my cousins and I were discussing birth experiences last night.  She laughed that I probably didn’t understand the pain as much because I had my babies so fast.  Actually, I replied that with our first baby, we timed pains all night. Then Danny and I drove to the hospital and waited in the parking lot for a good while. I had heard about false labor and I was positive I didn’t want to go just to be sent home. So we went into the building about 8:30 and had a baby about 10:30. Sounds like a very short labor doesn’t it? When in reality we had been in preparation for many more hours than that.

Oh beloved, the birth pangs of life are happening. You’ve felt them for some time now. Others are seeing them as well.  But it’s been so long. And other generations have talked about the impending return of Christ and it hasn’t happened yet.  Don’t worry. Don’t give up believing. Jesus will do just what He says in the Bible. Because the Bible is a real message to God’s people, you can know that His words have never failed anyone yet.  Christ will do what He says He would do and it will be much sooner than you can imagine. Like a thief in the night.

But you can also know that God sees right where you are. And He knows what you are birthing. Prayer has been long- and at-time agonizing. And the very person, place or situation you have prayed about doesn’t look any different at all.  What you can’t see is where the real action is. In the heavenlies there is much going on.  Angelic conflicts are on the rise. Demonic activity is accelerated. If you could look into the labor room of Heaven, you would be flabbergasted, awed, amazed and quite frankly fearful.  The long-awaited return of the Messiah is preparing in this heavenly arena. And it will occur right on time.

God loves you and He’s for you.  Don’t worry about your situations. Don’t get concerned about what looks like delays. Continue to contend for your faith. Continue to contend for the salvation of loved ones. Continue to contend for righteousness, peace, holiness and truth. And live, precious powerful believer, in the Light of God’s Word for your life.

I Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

2 Peter 3:4 They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created”

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation
