I could not believe my ears as I listened to a testimony about my friend’s sister in law and what she experienced in the emergency room trip she hadI recently in South Carolina. She had fallen at work, been helped to her car and driven herself home. When she got out of her car, she could not take a step. Her husband called an ambulance and she went to the ER. Before she could get the prescribed MRI or any blood work a nurse came into her room – this nurse was tall, dark skinned and spoke with a Nigerian accent. She told the sister in law, “You will go home tonight.” She left the room and never returned. After the MRI showed no damage and she was feeling much better, she went home that night.
Now I had to listen again to that message because… My husband was in the hospital and we didn’t know what his life would be like – our life – after a stroke. But one afternoon he had a nurse come in to do his vitals. And after she was done with that, she prayed over him from head to foot! I kid you not. And she said, “You will live and walk again. You will preach the Gospel. God is not finished with you yet.” Are you ready? She was tall, dark skinned and spoke with a Nigerian accent! We never saw her again.
Oh beloved, miracles do indeed still happen. And God performs wonders in the earth today. You may say I don’t believe or you may say I didn’t get my miracle. Maybe you haven’t had an experience with an angel.
God wants you to know today that for those who are in Christ, there is much in the way of miracles happening. You’re awake this morning to the miracle of life. You have walked through hard times, yet you don’t even smell of smoke. You survived death many times and you may not even know how many times. You aren’t left out. You aren’t left behind. I will tell you two things for sure – stay in close contact to the Lord and learn to lean on Him instead of your own understanding. God is real and present and working, even when you don’t see Him. Jesus came to give you a home in glory, but oh so much more. Through the cross and the resurrection, you now have access by grace to the Lord. And because Holy Spirit is living in you, your mortal body is quickened – it lives in the heavenly places! Because of your faith in God, you can know that even if things don’t go the way you want, God is taking you forward with love, hope, peace and joy. Temporary this world is. Eternal God’s Word is. Hold on for everything and pray about it all, as though your best friend is with you always every day, because He is!
God loves you and He’s for you. Expect the miraculous, prepare for the glorious, prophesy God’s truth over your circumstances. And then live as a Blood bought, Spirit filled, heavenly aligned believer, in the Light of the Glory and Grace of the King!
Romans 5:2 Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power].
Ephesians 3:12 In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer
Hebrews 1:14 Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out [by God] to serve (accompany, protect) those who will inherit salvation? [Of course they are!]
About the Author:
In a Christian Women’s meeting in 1983, Rebekah was given a prophetic message that she would write books. Several years ago she began writing stories about special holiday memories and travels, sharing God’s love and care through each story. God has gifted Rebekah with the ability to look at the natural and see the supernatural. Both Rebekah and her husband Danny have a heart to share the Gospel and the riches of life in Christ to everyone they meet. They have served in the local church and in ministry to motorcyclists. Danny is an ordained minister and they both have been Bible study teachers for many years. Rebekah also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences. Her tag line says it all “God loves you and He’s for you”.
