Lisa M. Prysock

Lisa M. Prysock2017 has been an amazing year!  The Lord has been super good to me.  This year I won my first award for one of my books, “To Find a Duchess.”  I also released my first contemporary novel, “Dreams of Sweetwater River,” a Western Christian Romance.  “The Shoemaker” is my first Christmas novel and released in early 2017.  “Geneva,” an Antebellum Era Christian Romance released in the fall for a total of three books in 2017 and ten books total.  I attended my first Christian writer’s conference and had two public speaking engagements (one as a supporting speaker).  My mailing list has really grown and I’ve learned so much.  I’m so thankful for what the Lord has done for my writing ministry.  May we all have a wonderful and blessed 2018.

This Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) has definitely become a theme for my writing this year and I remind myself of it often and speak it over my work–:  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Author BIOGRAPHY

Lisa M. Prysock lives in the countryside of beautiful, rolling Kentucky just outside of the greater Louisville area near horse farms and four board fences with her husband of 19 years.  She homeschooled the two youngest of their five children and is excited about her youngest entering the journey of college life.

She and her husband live in an average Colonial style home they are continually updating– with a funny looking Heinz 57 dog; an adorably dainty lady cat; two teenagers; a vegetable garden; numerous flower beds; and a tree house undergoing a remodel.  When not in teaching or writing mode, she is teaching herself to play the piano and violin.  Regarding this she laughs:  “It’s a pretty painful process, but I’m truly enjoying it!”

Lisa loves all things old-fashioned and has adopted a slogan of “The Old-Fashioned Everything Girl.”  A few of her interests and passions include doll houses, long dresses and hats, gardening, reading the Classics, butterflies, swimming, walking, working out, cooking, sewing, crochet, cross stitching, arts and crafts, scrapbooking, decorating, and drawing.  She remembers writing her first book in kindergarten with help from the teacher and a stapler to hold the pages together.  She won a literary award for a short story in eighth grade and has been writing ever since.   Some of her favorite authors include Jane Austen, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and Lucy Maude Montgomery.

Recently, her husband remodeled a room in their home with a picture window overlooking a valley containing a creek and wooded area, transforming the space into a serene writing office/sewing room.  “It’s a great source of peace and inspiration for me… and pure joy not to be writing from the busy kitchen amidst the household chaos on a laptop.  Growing teenagers eating every five minutes makes for a constant stream of happenings!”

Be sure to check out her new release Geneva, a fiction Christian Historical Romance series with a theme on the fruits of the Spirit!  These days, Lisa is also writing her first Contemporary Western Christian Romance novels as a contributing author to the ‘Whispers in Wyoming’ series with Danni Roan, Kari Trumbo, Lynn Winchester, and Rachel Skatvold. She recently released Book 3 in the series, Dreams of Sweetwater River.

Lisa is an Amazon bestselling and award winning author of To Find a Duchess, an Inspirational Regency Romance; ‘The Victorian Christian Heritage Series’ which includes Hannah’s Garden:  a Turn of the Century Love Story and Abigail’s Melody; and ‘The Lydia Collection,’ which includes The Redemption of Lady Georgiana (a Ruth love story of modern day Regency proportions), Protecting Miss Jenna (an Antebellum Era Christian Romance Adventure), and Persecution & Providence (a ‘Jane Austen-ish’ mail order bride story from the Pioneer Era).  She is also the author of a devotional/Bible Study, Arise Princess Warrior and recently released The Shoemakeran Old-Fashioned Regency Christmas Romance.  Lisa writes clean and wholesome literature while sharing her faith in Jesus Christ in a creative way.  She is a member of ACFW and Louisville Christian Writers.  You can find out more about Lisa at:   www.LisaPrysock.com

Parker J. Cole

Parker J. ColeYou never know what happens once you pick up the pen and write the story you’re meant to write. For myself, as I look back, I realize I have been the host of the Write Stuff for four years. This show is a show for authors, by authors. Over time, I’ve seen the following of the show grow as people are introduced to new books from writers all over the world.

For the first time I ever, I did a live broadcast at the inaugural Southern California Christian Writers Conference in La Mirada at the lovely Biola University. We had a great time and so much fun.

Speaking of the conference, I was a faculty member at the conference as well. What an honor to pour into other aspiring authors by encouraging them to write the story God gave them.

This year is my second year of being the CEO of PJC Media and as such, for 2018, we have two new shows coming on board our network.

Write Stuff has now expanded to YouTube with the help of author G. S. Muse who has been painstakingly taking each show and uploading them.

This year, I’ve published three works. The Cure and Time to Say Goodbye are sweet inspirational romances set in my home state of Michigan in the city of Tawas. The third work is a novella call Java Blend, which is a contemporary romance, part of the Java Cupid series.

I’ve seen my blog followers grow as well as listenership. I’m looking forward to what 2018 will bring.

For all these things, to God be the glory.

Rebekah Beene

Well I actually write daily on Facebook, add 30-31 posts a month on my blog, write for you, write for My Journey of Faith, write on Five Minute Friday. And this year I’ve published another devotional book.

I’ve also attended and participated in several women’s conferences. Sharing testimony on the goodness and faithfulness of God. And we have counseled a young married couple. This was such a blessing because we have been married 44 years. Much has come against us but nothing has come between us.

All this while husband has been recovering from a stroke last May.  While in the rehab hospital God spoke to my heart specifically and said “Go back and do what I originally called you to”. That’s was write books. So I’ve returned to that.
God has taught much this year and I will also have more books out in 2018.
Looking forward to what God has in store.
