Restored

Thoughts:

In RESTORED by Tanya Eavenson, real life decisions blend seamlessly with fiction to lift us into a deeper meaning of love and loss along with a true appreciation of love’s depth.

The phases of life, love, and death are brought about by this author in a romance that moves from trust and forgiveness to unconditional and satisfying to terrifying but committed with life-changing decisions, roles, and acceptance hanging in the balance.

An old love with no hope and new fears brings forth a story with endearing characters, strong family, and undying faith in a fantastic read!

To fall in love for a second time isn’t even a desire as grief still encompasses Elizabeth Roberts. In fact, she tells an old flame that a friend is all she needs and wants.  Although, her husband, Chris died four years ago, the grief for her and one of his sons is still raw as it was early on.

Meanwhile, Dr. Steven Moore is usually the one fighting to save lives, but he’s out of time, out of options, and just wants to fulfill a promise he made to Elizabeth’s husband. Yes, he loves her, and yes, he wanted a future for them. But cancer has taken hold destroying any possibilities of living that dream, but it hasn’t taken his love for her.

While she’s unsure of his intentions, what she doesn’t know will remain a secret. How could their past ever be restored when their future is over?

RESTORED by Tanya Eavenson brings two old flames together under the worse of circumstances where the pain of the past is still alive and the death of a future has just begun.

Dr. Steven Moore is ready to die. With a diagnosis of cancer, he’s not able to give his old love himself, but he can give her a better life. Of course, things could have been taken care of behind the scenes, but he needs to see her. He wants to take some new memories away to bring with him into his last days. However, once she makes the declaration that a friend is what she needs, he’s faced with a new set of problems and a desire not to bring her more pain.

He had been selfish because it may have been trying to be just her friend before, but he won’t be her dying friend. She doesn’t need any more pain.

For Elizabeth Roberts, today is just like yesterday.

When her husband, Chris, died just four years ago, her faith struggled, her finances tanked, and she was scared. Things for her are just as bad at the present time. To see this man before her only adds to everything she’s been through. Her old boyfriend can’t get more than what she can give. Elizabeth is still in love with Chris and can’t be expected to pick up where this prior relationship left off before her husband entered her picture.

However, things have seemed off with her old flame, but maybe this newly defined friendship could be what they both need to get on the right path. Maybe he just needs a friend too.

Could they be there for each other?
